What is DISC?
Do you know how you project yourself to others? Are you forceful
and talkative? Are you more of an observer? Are you a people person
or task-oriented?
Behavioral styles are varied, and not all styles are compatible.
If you are an outgoing salesperson, you would probably hate being
isolated in a cubicle doing technical work. If you are a leader,
you might not respond to an overbearing manager.
Because everyone’s style is different, a lack of understanding
among behavioral styles can manifest in the workplace as frustration,
conflict, poor hiring, under-utilized employees and reduced productivity.
Good communication is essential in the workplace. It can make
or break professional and personal relationships. The DISC assessment
interprets your behavioral style, and then shows you how to use
it to become more successful at work and in relationships!
There are four basic behavioral ‘categories’ that
people fall into, (D,I,S & C, for short) with thousands of
behavioral variations that can be identified through a DISC Assessment.
